What is obscene?
Sunday, November 23rd, 2003I saw 60 minutes tonight and they did a segment on Porn. The broadcast journalist defined Obscenity as any work without scientific, artistic and social merit. Given that definition, I thought the show was obscene, condescendingly sensationalizing Lizzy Borden’s videos right on primetime Sunday. Bring on the condescension… it only adds to the taboo factor that sells these videos like hotcakes. I can see right through you, Mr. Man. You’ve got the old ladies in a tizzy so you can make more money off the working men of America. So come on now, what really is obscene?
