The Cormorant That Got Away
Tuesday, November 8th, 2005Have I mentioned that I live right on a lake? My little monkey and I spend the mornings looking at the cormorants. There are about ten of them, all lined up at our neighbor’s birth, wings spread sunning themselves. At about noon, they will all dive underwater, once in a while sticking their silly little necks above the surface, then dive back underneath to catch lunch. My little monkey kicks her legs and screeches in excitement. It’s a great way to start my day.
This is a photo taken for my music video of “The One That Got Away.” I wanted to show you the cormorant sunning itself behind me, toward the right side of the picture. Excuse my fresh-off-the-boat look. I was getting into character for the video. Blech!
Have a great day!
