I got my GoPro underwater digital camera in the mail today. Sweet!!! It’s been out of stock at so many different sites, I was almost prepared for disappointment.

As soon as Jay got the camera out of its packaging, I headed straight to the lake and took some photos. The wrist strap thing was way too unwieldy, and obviously meant for men with large muscular forearms, not my skinny wrists. I held the camera with its tight waterproof casing in my right hand and went for it.

Mostly I took photos like this underwater shot of the lake bottom. This was about 6 feet underwater. Anything deeper and it’s much darker. It was just before sunset after all, past 6 pm. Maybe I’ll get better photos closer to noon.

I need to get a 2 gig SD memory card so I can record video. That’s a 45 minute drive into civilization. It feels like forever when it’s so much hotter away from my lakeside retreat. Ah, the things I do for you.
