I just got out of a long hot shower. It’s the only way I can warm up my bones on these cold winter nights. After my shower I got out my jar of Avena Botanicals Fairy Flower Creme and rubbed it luxuriously all over my legs and feet, all the while remarking to Jay how much I love this creme. It’s heavy, but my skin absorbs every bit of it and doesn’t stay greasy for long. All the ingredients are certified organic and grown right on the Avena grounds in Rockport, Maine, not too far from where we live right now. Jay just nodded, obviously not listening to a word I said.
I asked him if he could tell the difference in my skin since I started using the creme. He made some kind of sound that resembled “No.” It really makes me wonder why the hell I go through all this effort to rub goo all over myself, keep my skin soft and supple and smooth for him, when he really can’t tell the difference.
Can men really tell the difference? Are we ladies just wasting our time plucking and rubbing? I know Jay complains sometimes when I haven’t dressed sexy for him in a while, or when I don’t talk dirty in bed.
You know what else Jay complains about? Really strong scented products. He hates perfumed anything. I only buy stuff that’s marked “Unscented” but even unscented stuff has a smell. When I bought the Fairy Flower Creme, I passed it under his nose first, to make sure it would be fine for me to use. I’ve made a mistake before and rubbed a creme on my face that gave Jay a headache. I had to wash it right off but the smell of lavender still clung to my skin. It was awful!
But what about rough dry skin? Does that really matter to guys at all or is that just a girl thing? I know it matters to me that I feel soft and smooth and supple. I do like rubbing myself all over with this stuff, but you have to appreciate the amount of time it takes to cover all of me. It takes practically all day! Well, not really. But it might as well be, now that my time is taken up with Mommying.
I just want someone to rub his hands all over my skin and tell me how smooth and soft and supple my skin is. Better yet, lick me all over (because I don’t use any of that petrochemical shit they sell for cheap at the local drug stores). Show me some appreciation for the time and energy it takes to stay young and beautiful. I think all of us ladies would like that.

i will touch, kiss and lick every part of you any time.you are beautiful beyond words [face and body] i would love to kiss your lips, face and neck as well as every square inch of your ultra beautiful body.
Quit your griping – what I meant by not being able to tell is that to me you are always soft and yummy. When have you ever been NOT soft and yummy? I think the creaming it up thing is a type of meditation… I don’t think you need the goo, just some personal time to reunite with your mind/spirit/body. I think your skin would be perfect without any lotions, but I understand how some good “me” time can put one back on track. Hey, whatever it takes to stay sane! I love you hunny!
hi may- i dont use many skin creams but – i do like my vaseline intensive care foaming creme bath and it makes my skin feel soft. but on the other hand peter always compliments me on how soft and smooth my legs and body are. i guess every man is attentive to certain things- i dont know!
anyway hope all is good
lol- christine
hi -
it is all good.
truly, pete
Actually I think it’s more important is that it makes you feel soft and nice to the touch becuase then you really want someone to do the touching. You get a natural sensual vibe going which can lead to a great night.
(I think it’s the same way for guys too..if we feel clean or nifty then we’ll be looking for our partners…)
I can relate to Jay to some extent…lightly-scented products are fine, but otherwise, it’s better to stick to unscented.
Why? Because clean skin has a natural smell that is warm and soothing. Why mess with something Mother Nature has already perfected for us?
But of course, we all gotta tell our ladies how much we appreciate the time and effort they make to look and feel so goddamn good, because let’s face it, if it were up to us men to do all that, the human species would have died out after the fall of the Roman Empire.
Let’s admit it, guys…99% of us are totally disgusting! Myself included. lol
