Weaned Woman

It’s been years since I last wrote a diary entry on my period. I’ve been busy mothering. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I just now weaned my three-year-old. I thought at first I would let her self-wean, just the way those books from La Leche League encourage, but without any pre-meditations, I just decided at the beginning of this year that it was time. My three-year-old and I now share a newfound independence.
