We’re still working on archiving our porn at MAYCAM.com - XXX photos and videos from 1996 onward. The amount of time it is taking for us to make this, all the late nights (wee hours in the morning) and the sheer magnitude of the archives brought us to think we needed some sort of compensation for this work. After all, when we’re not just fucking, but archiving the fucking, it’s not just fun and games anymore. It’s pretty hard work.

So naively, we applied for an account with CCBill, the most popular adult content e-ticketing processor in cyberspace. Our account was declined - understandably, our site was still under construction and not yet commerce-ready. But then there were issues with our content. “Watersports” is one of the acts CCBill does not tolerate in its Acceptable Use Policy.

I had forgotten about CCBill’s content restrictions. They backed out of processing memberships for On My Period back in November 2003.

I was tempted to take down “watersports” videos to comply with CCBill’s AUP. Off the top of my head, that’s four videos, each about an hour’s worth. Four hours of video, some of them our best.

We decided against it. We withdrew our application for CCBill. We want to keep the integrity of our body of work. This is us, all 12 years worth of hot sexy disgusting love. We cannot compromise.

Jay has been going through all of our video files and reformatting them into full-length “Fast Start” Quicktime movies. It’s a huge process, as we have amassed quite a bit of video footage over the years. One of the movies he has reformatted is “Super Spy Chick,” our no-budget sci-fi comedy from a few years back. It was a lot of fun to make, and friends we have shown it to really found it amusing enough to show their friends, so it must be all right. It even got reviewed by Pretty/Scary, which is a site “For Women in Horror By Women in Horror.” The reviewer gave it a “Total Crap” rating but ended the article with “This is definitely in the category of the so-bad-it’s-good!”

Out of all the cherished possessions we have taken out of storage, my XXX hard drive is the most exciting! Jay and I have been going through all the porn we made since we started in 1996, and it’s been an amazing journey! I love my new home. We still have a pile of boxes unopened, but everything I need is out and getting some play. Life is good. A bit busy maybe, but really good. There’s a lot to do, you know. When I crashed my blog in July I took a little break from the internet and have been spending a lot more time in real life. It was very frustrating to lose 6 years worth of diary entries. I moped around for a couple of days, but after that I just decided I would move on. I could spend my time trying to get my xml file to load on to a new blog platform or enjoy a beautiful sunny day happening outside my window. I chose the incredibly sensuous world of the beach.
