I agree, Bea. Priests and nuns are deprived of so much life experience due to their celibacy. Life experience that is most needed by people going into a career of counseling, which essentially is their function in community. Celibacy should be a choice, not a requirement.

If you ask me, the way they force priests and nuns into a life of celibacy is also very unnatural. So many contradictions, really.

That is really the goal of the RH Bill; to give as much information on reproductive health and other forms of contraception as well as post-abortion care and availability of abortion to those who need it.But the influential Church in the country has a very limited lens, focusing only on the “abortion” part and not on the benefits of the bill to the majority of the Filipino people.
