On My Period was nominated for a Feminist Porn Award! The Fifth Annual Good For Her Feminist Porn Awards, the largest and longest running celebration of feminist porn in the world, is on April 8th & 9th 2010 in Toronto.
Speaker of On My Period, I uploaded a new movie in the OMP Members Area: Menstrual Blood Rituals. It’s a little over 31 minutes. It starts out with a video collage of footage from when we shot "The Moon and I," some menstrual blood body painting, and various bloody sponge in water clips, set to my song, "Moontide." Then I demonstrate how I put a sponge inside me.
The next part was shot first thing in the morning. I have a full sponge. I set up a mat, a large piece of paper I sit on and pull my blood soaked sponge out. This begins my body painting ritual. This painting is an elaborate one, full body with striped legs. I love it!
The final part of the movie is me and my man Jay making love on a massage table. I drip a little bit on the massage table, but I clean it up quickly with a finger and paint it on my face. We keep going till we’re spent.

I have been impressed with your feminist-based porn work, as well as your efforts at bringing more art into the genre. But this menstrual-blood work . . . . Wow. Now I’m really impressed. That’s embracing your Womanhood. May I recommend Layne Redmond’s “When the Drummers Were Women”? I was truly affected by what I learned and have always recommended it to women who are not afraid to be a woman. Keep up the great work, let me know if the book is your thing.
