I will be attending the Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto next week. It’s a two-night celebration of feminist porn hosted by Good For Her, Toronto’s resource for sex toys, porn, and sex-positive workshops.

Thursday, April 8 at 9:30 pm will be Provocative.Public/Porn, a film festival of the year’s best feminist porn, with a Q&A with notable directors such as Tristan Taormino, Shine Louise Houston, Nica Noelle, and April Flores. The event will be at Bloor Cinema (506 Bloor West).

Friday night, April 9 will be the Feminist Porn Awards at Berkeley Church (315 Queen Street East). There’s a VIP Pre-Party at 8, then the show begins at 9:30. Lots of entertainment, prizes, refreshments and hot feminist pornographers.

Come out to either or both of the events and say hi to me! I don’t make too many personal appearances, being such a busy mom, but when I found out that On My Period was nominated for Best Website, I just had to summon all my powers to make the trip.

I have about a week to figure out what I’m going to wear to the awards show (I have nothing in my closet that will do!), and pack for everything I could possibly need during my two day stay in Toronto. Just imagine, for two days I will be a single woman, what would I do during the day? Got any ideas?

I know I definitely will be going to the Good For Her shop. More than likely I’ll shoot some porn in my hotel room, whether I find a partner to play with or I wind up all alone with the toys, it will still be a great looking shoot I can share with my MAYCAM members and MLS blog readers.
