He made different kinds of molds, using different kinds of silicone. Some of them weren’t food grade, so he filled them with plastic and made colorful plastic goddesses. They keep growing in number as we speak. I think I now have about 5 clears and 2 opaques. Jay is so prolific!

The food grade silicone mold is perfect for making chocolate goddesses. This is how it looked full of thick hot milk chocolate.

After the chocolate hardens in the refrigerator, she’s ready to come out so we can enjoy her.

I wish you a luxurious Sunday and a prolific work week ahead!

I made these naughty pretzels one night when our friend Trixie came to visit. I don’t know what possessed me. One minute I was making just the average run of the mill pretzels, the next moment I was shaping the strings of dough into cocks and cunts.
I think Trixie liked it. How about you?

Tucked away at the end of NYC’s Indian row is a place called Milon. Jefferson turned me on to it. He said, there will be men in front enticing us to come into other restaurants, but only go to Milon.

I took his advice with a grain of salt, totally unprepared for the psychedelic experience on 1st Avenue just off of 6th Street. Milon is a thin hallway of a place, tables are arranged tightly and the ceiling is covered wall to wall with shimmering paper lanterns and red chili lights. Jay, the wee one and I had a whole feast for $45, and the food is great!

I’m glad we arrived early. The place filled up quickly, and after we finished there was a long line on the street. Men from other Indian restaurants kept trying to lure the people into their (empty) place, but the people standing in line said they were willing to wait for a table at Milon. I don’t blame them.

No, the wait staff did not hit on me. Motherhood must remind them of cows.

I just got back from picking up take-out Thai food. (Actually, I ate first before I headed to my laptop to type this out.)

The Thai lady at the Thai Kitchen in Camden is soooo nice to us. She loves our wee one and always gives us freebies when we eat there. Today when the wee one and I picked up our take-out she served us a siumai appetizer while we waited. Then gave us pineapple chunks. Then served us samosas. When the food we ordered was ready before we had touched the samosas, she added it to the samosas we had ordered, so we got 2 orders of samosas for the price of one.

When we were about to leave, she refused to take my tip. She handed it to my kid, who then handed it to me, and then I was stuck with it again. Jay always reminds me not to argue with crazy people, so I just took it and left, bowing my head constantly in thanks.

There was a guy there, I think he’s the husband or partner, he asked me if I was local. I told him I was moving out of state. Too bad, he said, we’re looking for help.

Amazing! You’re asian? You’re hired!!! (Is this reverse racism? BTW, he’s white.)

The man has no idea. The only job I’ve ever been fired from was waiting tables. I was a disaster case. Fired on my first day at work. But to my credit, that was 12 years ago. Maybe I’d be better at it now if I gave myself a chance. Now if I can talk them into paying me $250K a year, we’d be in business. ;D
