Hey, it’s Jay. This whole thing of Max Hardcore being sentenced to 5 years of jail for obscenity charges is freaking me out. I wanted to blather on a bit to see if I could come close to how I feel about all this. A few years back May and I were lucky enough to meet Max in Vegas during the adult expo there. I’m a big fan of his videos, they turn me on. When May and I saw him, we went over and said hello. Max was the only polite person to us all day out of hundreds. Every other production house, like Vivid, were very rude. They would cat call at May, saying things like, “you want to work for us, do you take it in the ass?” were the aggressive things other producers of adult video would project. They want to act tough or something. The sad thing is, sure she takes it in the ass, but you still have to be polite about it - LOL. Max Hardcore was an old fashioned gentleman, and it was a delight to meet him. After hanging out at his booth a while, laughing and talking with Max and Catalina, being Jay and May, we whisper back and forth and get it in our minds to do a shoot with Max. He is taken back a bit when we approached him. He laughed and asked if we were part of some sting operation. We tell him we are fans. He looks at May, and asks if she was dropped on her head as a child. He tells us he has never had a hot chick ask him to do a shoot before he had asked her. It amused him, but made him suspect us a bit, since he was already in a state obscenity trial at that time (which he won). We show him our blog and sexy photos, and he relaxes a bit, and phones his crew to prepare an impromptu shoot with my hot wife May. (I just love to watch her get fucked - don’t you?)!

Max Hardcore is sentenced to 46 months in Federal prison.

And here’s a little more information regarding the case.

Max Hardcore is my friend, and I have performed in one of his videos. I like him. I don’t always agree with him or like his work, but then I don’t always agree with my friends. A lot of my friends make atrocious art, really really bad grin-and-bear-it art. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to sit through really boring films or theater shows, then come out and give my friends a hug because they so badly need validation.

Right now, Max Hardcore needs that hug. He was prosecuted for distributing obscene materials by mail and by internet. Obscenity being defined as amorphous based on community standards makes it almost impossible to reach an agreement as to whether Max Hardcore’s sentence was just or not.

To me this is an attack on freedom of speech. Whether you like his work or not, Max Hardcore does not deserve to go to jail for sending pornos to consenting adults who share his taste in sexual deviance. This case has no identifiable victims, and only serves to terrorize pornographers into the republican mainstream.

I’ve been putting this off for a while. Tonight I finally loaded the xml file I exported from my crashed blog before I declared it dead. It took!!! But it only had January 2002 to March 2003 in it. Big disappointment, but one giant step toward rebuilding my entire archives. Now if I can figure out how to extract the rest of 2003 to 2008 from the database corpse…

Right now I am looking each entry over, checking for dead links, re-path-ing media, taking a trip down memory lane. I should be in bed by now. Every night I tell myself I will go to bed earlier, but every night I get sucked into cyberspace like a junkie.

Everything is rebuilt completely from January to July 2002. There are Quicktime videos up from way back when we were hanging out with Max Hardcore and his entourage. Hot stuff! Those videos are available bigger, faster and sexier on MAYCAM.

Speaking of Max, I got a question from hypoluxahermespan: I don’t know if you want to discuss this, but since you shot for him (wow, what a scene that was). what are your feelings regarding Max Hardcore and his pending imprisonment?

For as long as I’ve known him, Max Hardcore seems to always be in some sort of legal battle defending his right to make the kind of smut he makes. Like Larry Flynt before him, Max Hardcore tests the limits of Freedom of Speech/Self-Expression. He wins every time because America really does care about freedom more than morality. Each community’s mores are so different, but everyone in America will defend their liberty. I have faith in that.

Before we watch the rockets red glare on Fourth of July, take a look at this point-counterpoint article on the LA Times, written by First Ammendment Barry McDonald and veteran pornographer John Stagliano, debating both sides of the obscenity issue.

Something to celebrate is Obama’s unflinching support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community’s equal rights to marriage. Love has no limits!!! Didn’t I say Obama is sexy?

This could be an historic year for the United States. The Democratic Party is serving up the choice between a woman or a man of color for President. I’m drawn to rooting for either of the two candidates in a very superficial bid for affirmation as a woman of color.

Internet Porn has changed so much since Jay and I began posting our sexy pictures on the usenet newsgroups back in the mid-90’s. Those were the days of the Dot-com Millionaires, the Code Rush and the Wild Wild Web. The internet was on the cusp of being a household staple, and legislation had yet to catch up to this new medium.

OFFICER: Hmmmm… I see. And you are saying there are no other people on your website that engage in depictions of sexual acts?

OFFICER: It’s a new regulation that went into effect June of 2005. Any website that has depictions of sexual acts must make public the address of the place of production, and on the premises must be kept copies of federally issued photo IDs of each model that is in photos or videos of sexual acts. Inspectors have the right to show up during business hours unannounced to check if all paperwork is in compliance. I can see that you are well within the age limit, and there are no underage persons involved in your photos and videos, but I have to write you up for not complying with the correct paperwork.

MAY: You mean I have to make public my address? How can that be safe? I’m a woman who runs my own amateur website. I can’t be posting my home address on the internet… who knows what could happen?
